IF - Wrinkles

When I was thinking about the theme for Illustration Friday this week, I couldn't get the image of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys in old age sitting at a diner all weathered and worn from their adventures out of my head. I figured it would be appropriate for the diner to be in Florida. This was a little more comic book style for me. But I had a lot of fun doing it. Enjoy!

Like the idea and like the drawing but why do they look so glum; or are they just missing their youth? Do more comics.

Thanks! I think they are missing their childhoods. I love Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, but for this, I wanted them a little melancholy...kind of like a couple of wash-ups. There's probably more of a story there. Maybe I'll draw it all out.

i love how diverse yr characters look--so many people have such pin-pointed styles that everything they do looks the same (gary baseman comes to mind). while that can be good and all, it is so impressive when someone can have that diversity of style.
