So this is what I did this weekend...well part of the weekend. I got this great anatomy book with photographs from the library. It has overlays with the skeletal and muscular systems. It's pretty impressive. Anyway I've got to work on my shading obviously. I'm too scratchy! I was just trying to get some semblance of tone down...Enjoy!

Good job Sarah. I really like the first one and the third. Great gesture on the female. Studying anatomy books is a great way to learn the figure. And,

If you don't like your scratchy line quality (which I like because it's very graphic), try using a medium weight vine charcoal. It's light colored and great for shading. Unlike compressed charcoal which gets too black too quick.
I also love the big fat graphite sticks!

The animators guild in LA offers figure drawing classes to the public. Maybe they have something like that in Toronto?

Great sketches! (And who knew my body looked so great in pencil? Wait - that's NOT my body? Oh, okay.) ;) Seriously though, these are lovely.
