Illustration Friday: Sacrifice
The Sacrifice of Lucy
I tried to stay away from anything depressing or too serious. These are fun tasks for me and anything on the dark side is too draining in so many ways. I'm sure something will eventually strike me as being dark and I'll work on it, but for this one I wanted something light and humourous. Although I guess when you think about it, Lucy's going to be eaten by a great big dragon...
I love the name Lucy and I would have called her Princess Lucy if it didn't strike up visions of a great big grey piece of clay in a pink dress. I'll add a link for those who don't know what I'm talking about...http://www.beingalone.com/
Enjoy! And of course, all comments are welcome!

no way is she going to be eaten, no way, no how. :) love this!
This is great! :)
Hey! I like this a lot! Especially the stylized princess. Makes me think of the art from "Sleeping Beauty." What is this show you linked to? I've never heard of it!
What medium did you use?
very beautiful work!
Haha, that's priceless. Brilliant.
Great work...I love this!
Oh man. Make poster prints of that. I'll buy one. It's friggin gorgeous. - Sister Laura
Thank you everyone! The show is a Canadian claymation show on CBC. It's pretty funny! I like watching cause it's a combination of animation techniques since there's definatly some digital stuff going on too. This piece ended up being a watercolour with black pen outlines. I'm not strong enough with watercolour yet. I want to work on that. I think I'm falling in love with it.
You guys are really encouraging. Thank you. Seriously.
I like the curvy 'S' shape of the dragon. The watercolors are looking good!

I love it. I want one!!!!!
Love Mom
