I'm off to NYC!

This cracked me up:

You Are Apple Cider

Smooth and comforting. But downright nasty when cold.

You Are 72% Capitalist, 28% Socialist

In general, you support a free economy and business interests.

You tend to think people should fend for themselves, even when times get tough.

However, do think the government should help those who are truly in need.

Went down town today and checked out The Bay windows. If you're not from Toronto, you might not know that they usually have fantastic displays at Christmas time. Occasionally they have some stunning displays during the rest of the year. This month they have displays for the Marie Antoinette film and Vogue magazine (because it has a feature about the movie). There's this whole connection with current fashion being affected (is that the right affect/effect?). I took tons of pictures. I loved the reflections in the windows and tried to play a bit with the glare and reflection of the city in the composition. Anyway, here's some of the photos.

Check out the shirt Matt got me! And yes, that is me modelling it. Stop perving! lol And here is my cat. In case you missed the smelly bum. Note the picture might not be completely in focus, but I took it with the new SLR. Ooo! I should upload the pictures from Niagara!

Farm

Here's my last minute attempt at IF. I love fall. And scarecrows. And pumpkins. Including eating them in pies. Mmm pumpkins.

Long awaited pictures? I have to make his hat. I'm also a little concerned because he's a bit top heavy. He works fine as long as I don't pull his leg up to high. I'm hoping that with a little help of some wire, optic illusions...and maybe some post work...I'll get by. I know I'll probably have to make another wire armature eventually. Anyway, here they are.

And a big thank you to Mama Mousseau.

Illustration Friday: Safe

Is it safe? It's been a terrible week so I haven't put much time into this weeks illustration, but whenever I thought of the theme "Safe" all I could think of was Marathon Man. I wanted to think of something terribly clever where the meaning and the image were complete opposites. But I couldn't shake the Nazi with the dental tools. So if you've seen the movie, you probably know what I'm talking about. Those words still give me the creeps.
