I had a total right brain block yesterday and I wanted to beat something repeatedly with my ruler I was so upset. I had the whole day to draw and write and get things done and on track and I flopped. I was talking with Matt on Friday over dinner and he had some good ideas for the short. So I got all excited and realized I need to work on that as much as possible. I want to start shooting in November. I'm so close to being ready, so what is my problem? I feel like I have a mental block when it comes to the in between stuff. Even planning out the sets...I'm having a hard time visualizing how it should be laid out. I'd be a horrible production designer. Why am I such a dolt right now? If I get the storyboards done then maybe I'll be able to get it right. So I have to finish the script first. I got some good feed-back from the writing group. So I'm going to work on their suggestions. And Matt's. All very good. I have to sew the new pants onto the puppet and I want to create a couple more puppets. I was trying to avoid that...but maybe it'll go ok. I hope it will. I'm mostly scared that it will turn out like so many horrible experiments when I was younger. Especially because it involves a mish-mash of sewing and sculpting out my ideas. I want the sweater to be shorter. And can it be tighter around the armpits? Will you beat me for asking that mom? Lol. Ok. Have to finish up my lists for work. Over and out.

Illustration Friday - Opposites
So I like the original four one better, but I love all the images so I wanted to get both of them up there. I have some other images I was going to use in another illustration in a vertical bar sort of way, but I'm so tired I just need to go to bed and work is workin me like a dog, so I don't know if I'll have the chance to work on it before Friday. I went with the idea of 1950's women and the contrast of the 1950 vixen versus the housewife. Anyway, it's simple and poppy, but fun to look at. Comments are always welcome!

Behind the Midas near Keele station there's a bunch of graffiti. Did I spell that right? Anyway, there's this bomber girl and I love her and I have been meaning for about a year to take a picture of her and I finally did. Very excited!

I'm working on my illo for IF. The theme is opposites and I'm going for a pop art feel on the subject of women in the 1950's. I'm very excited. I have way more contour drawings done then I'll need so maybe I'll try some different compositions. I need to bring them into Photoshop tho and get some colours that really pop.

Anyway, I thought this was vaguely related to the sexy bomber girl.

On the back of the building was also this guy ( I know some smart ass is going to come up and tell me that it's BB King or something...but I'm not sure enough to state any definate names here...), who I haven't noticed before, but who is really well done as well. I don't know that I could control the spray from the can so well...and of course I could never commit such an illegal act! cough. I'd be too chicken.

The Sacrifice of Lucy

I tried to stay away from anything depressing or too serious. These are fun tasks for me and anything on the dark side is too draining in so many ways. I'm sure something will eventually strike me as being dark and I'll work on it, but for this one I wanted something light and humourous. Although I guess when you think about it, Lucy's going to be eaten by a great big dragon...

I love the name Lucy and I would have called her Princess Lucy if it didn't strike up visions of a great big grey piece of clay in a pink dress. I'll add a link for those who don't know what I'm talking about...http://www.beingalone.com/

So I joined a script writing group. I know, I'm a nerd. But I'm hoping it'll help me get on track. I also want to keep doing Illustration Friday. All my creative juices will be flowing and I'll be producing more work then anyone in the world and I will be ALL POWERFUL!

Ok, maybe not...but I am hoping for some sort of productivity happening...

They're going to take a look at my script for the stop-mo short. That's really the one thing I haven't been worrying about...and I probably should. I think it's a pretty nifty script...there's no dialogue so I don't have to worry about bad monologues...

Here's the material me ma found for the puppet's pants. I'm very excited. I'll pick it up this weekend. And make MAGIC!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm thinking I don't like the colour of Henri's pants so I'm going to make them darker. This seems to be a really long process. I wish I had everything I needed at my disposal. I need to snap my fingers, have the materials I need and then I can just get what I need to get done done. But it's all about this stop start. It's like American Football. Drives me nuts!
